What are the policies regarding use of PPE for an in home health care provider? Are providers required to wear masks?

To me it doesn't matter how the agency feels. We are in a Pandemic and as such we can require anyone coming into our home to wear a mask. Especially an aide. Especially if she goes to other clients during the day. Actually, I would be surprised if an agency didn't require their employees to wear masks. If they don't, I may not hire them.

Every State, and indeed some Counties and cities within those states have their own regulations. I would ask the people who run the agency that you have hired through what their protocol is. For myself I would not have anyone from anywhere enter my home to do anything unless they are masked.

With Covid, if the caregiver refuses to wear a mask fire them right away!
