Requires? I am not certain what you mean by that. In general a patient cannot be required to accept any care if he or she is of sound mind. Are you asking what services Skilled Nursing might provide? Can you give us the circumstances you are asking about?
You have this posted under Parkinson’s disease. My mom has Parkinson’s and has done rehab at a skilled nursing facility, along with home health which includes physical and occupational therapy.
Skilled Nursing Facility also known as rehabilitation facility.
After a 3 midnight stay in a hospital, older or very ill patients will get some rehab to get them as strong as possible and/or teach them how to live safely with whatever is going on with their health.
