Vaunda Asked January 2020

I am not a caregiver now. I was a caregiver for several years, my husband and father. I need some assistance from time to time.

Now I find myself alone and no help.

Hi Vaunda, welcome! Yes to please give more info. You can contact your local area's Council on Aging and they are very helpful and have lots of resources. Also you can call the Department of Health and Human Services for your county and tell them your needs and they may be able to provide some in-home assistance if you qualify. Letting us know your financial situation will help commenters give you better guidance, as this will determine what your options are. Also, you may want to consider transitioning to Assisted Living so that you are in a community of people who will help you as you age and if your illness progresses. There are many newer, good places nowadays. Good luck!
