My husband has dementia, hip replacement and that failure he had to go back for replacement. Should I bring him home or keep him in SNF?

They put in a temporary because of infection, not the bad kind but curable. He is to have replacement in 10 weeks (more surgery) he was in rehab and developed a temp and became unresponsive so they called ambulance. He needed a blood transfusion he has now had four transfusions. He was doing pretty good yesterday. He had been in memory care for about two weeks. They do not want him back due to falls.

My question, should I bring him home and get home health or keep him in skilled nursing facility. He will go back to rehab and then back again after next surgery.

Skilled nursing, you cannot care for him properly. If he is already in MC, he needs to be cared for by a skilled staff. Placing him will be best for him and you both.

If he was already in MC, I would not even consider bringing him home. With his physical ailments on top of that, caring for him would be very difficult.
