Currently Hospice comes, changes immobile incontinent Dad. Will Medicare pay for incontinece supplies or Hospice help in obtaining them?

JoAnn29 Sep 2019
Yes to both questions. Hospice should be ordering any meds and supplies needed.

I believe Medicare will provide incontinence supplies for a Hospice patient. Ask his hospice nurse and read through the folder that is usually given to families when signing up for Hospice.

Hospice will not provide 24/7 care in your home. You may get a bath aide once or twice a week but essentially the family will provide all other care.

Best of luck to you. Sorry your dad is very ill.
