Ways to have privacy screen in kitchen doorway for when grandmother goes to the bathroom??

Is there any way I could attach like a privacy curtain or screen (like the ones that lead to outside decks) to my grandmother’s kitchen doorway so that she can have privacy (and I can feel a lot more comfortable) when she has to go to the bathroom (urinates in jar) in the kitchen??

You can purchase a tall room divider (looks like the curtain screens from the hospital) that can be stored easily. Ours is metal and cost less than $100. We used this as a room divider when my MIL stayed here post hip replacement. She had a catheter in at home for awhile but she was able to walk to the bathroom.

If if you can, re-think this arrangement due to the proximity to the kitchen. Maybe a bedside commode in a laundry room or anywhere- except in the kitchen-for sanitary reasons.

I agree with Rosered6. This is not sanitary.

I do agree with you but she has absolutely no choice whatsoever. She (my grandmother) has to go to the bathroom in a COFFEE CUP (which smells horrible btw) that she either keeps in the bathroom or under the kitchen sink and I’m with you It’s absolutely unsanitary AND she doesn’t have any privacy in the kitchen which is why I’m suggesting a curtain so that she can have her privacy and I can feel more comfortable when she does her business. It’s either urinating in the disgusting coffee cup in the kitchen or she has to get a permanent catheter so she chose to pee in the kitchen

Is there any way to move the toileting to a different room? This sounds very unhygienic.

Put up a curtain rod over the door and hang a curtain. If you buy them at Walmart it should be less than $20.
