I'm the spouse of a disabled veteran, will I lose my Champva benefits if abandoned by the veteran?

Husband has been coerced by his adult children to leave me. I receive Champva because of his service. I do not work due to an injury I sustained.

He has now abandoned me and our home will my medical benefits be at jeopardy of losing?

I would protect any joint accts u have. Open up an acct in ur name and draw out half of what is there. You are entitled to that much. Hope you own half the house.

I would think as long as ur married there would be no problem. Check with ur local VA dept.

If u lose it, u may qualify for Medicaid health insurance. I think u need a lawyer to protect your interest in the marriage.
