Help for a 73 year old who is blind and alone?

My sister is blind suddenly. It was in 1 year, She really needs help. I'm 79 & can't help her.
I had called The Blind Association of N.J. twice & got result.
We don't any politicians, so get that we got no help.
Can anyone here? She's Bergen county, I hope you can do something for CAROLYN.
THANK YOU

There are going to be several services for the blind in your area. This just one of them.

Just to offer a little comfort - my mom lost most of her vision suddenly when she was 76, about a year after my father died. She continued to live on her own until she was 90, and did quite well too!

We as a forum can not help her but can point you in the right direction.

I live in Salem County, so not too far from u. Has your sister been to an Eye Doctor? Call your County Office of Aging and ask if they can help. Your County should have a disabilities dept too. They may be able to help or point you in the right direction.
