Is it normal for a Dementia patient to make animal noises? My mother in-law does it all the time, do you have strategies to help stop it?

She makes the noise when she is frustrated with eating, washing hands, when we go outside and now when we go to restaurants, the Dr put her on meds to calm her and the medicine does wonders, however she is slowly starting to make those noise again and its getting worse. What can I do?

Oh God. Shouldn’t laugh ( maybe just a little)
my husband started doing the same but his was a loud moaning noise that could go on all day
i know it drives you crazy. Since his last hospital stay hasn’t come back but it usually does
i wish I had something wise to tell you. Have you just tried sharply saying. STOP
