How can I get paid for taking care of my 91 year old mother taking her to and from Drs. appts. shopping, and cooking and serving her meals?

LambyPooh, the vast majority of grown children who take care of parent do not get paid.... unless that parent can pay from their own retirement fund.

Another option is to see if your Mom can qualify for Medicaid [which is different from Medicare]. Depending on your State, they may have a program where you can get paid but note it will be minimum wage with limited hours. Each State is independent on what programs they have.

Your Mom could sign up for Meals on Wheels so that would help with the food issue, unless your enjoy cooking and having your meals with Mom.

Try to find full-time work which has benefits such a health insurance, unless you are already on Medicare. Once established at work, you can then schedule Mom's doctor appointments during that time of day at work that is slow. Sometimes our parent(s) go to the doctors too much.

I see from your profile that you lost your husband recently, my heartfelt sympathy to you and your family.
