Anyone here have experience dealing with an Alzheimer's patient who has Awake Bruxism?

-diurnal clenching, bracing, gnashing, and grinding of the teeth.

Why are you worrying? I have been a night time teeth grinder all my life. I have tried wearing Brux Guards, but I chew right through them.

I do not worry about it in my 50's and I would not worry about it in a senior, especially one with Alz. Yes it can be loud, but I am pretty sure they are not aware of doing it. I tend to grind when I am driving long distances, but am unaware of it, unless some one points it out to me. I try to remind myself to open my jaw.
