Why is my grandma holding onto her bed rail with all her strength?

My mom thinks she's falling when she does that; I'm not sure if she has vertigo or a physical sensation that makes her feel that way or if she is just feeling a loss of control and anxiety.

Is Grandma able to talk and tell you what’s going on? Does she seem anxious? Do you have Hospice Care or are you still doing this all on your own? You may want to set up Hospice if only even for a short while. You need a break.

This could be an anxiety thing. There r meds for this. If u don't have Hospice u may want to have them evaluate Gma. They will keep her comfortable. Anxiety is not good for them.
