Medicaid question. Will a POA protect me?

I am a power of attorney on my uncle in Pennsylvania. I am on Medicaid in Arkansas. I am on his savings account which he gets his Social Security's and checking accounts to write checks to pay his bills. I do not contribute any money to either account. Will a POA protect me from looking at my Medicaid benefits. I need help badly.
