Has anyone ever used a GCM (geriatric care manager) to help give direction and help manage things?

I checked into using one here in the DFW area but thought it was prohibitively expensive. I think the woman charged $500 per hour just for the consultation meeting! Sometimes I am very tempted to contact her anyway just to let somebody else figure this stuff out.
