I live on a very small fixed income and at times I need to run errands inconvenient by public transportation. Any transportation suggestions?

Will be very much thankful if you have or could advise me to any free transportation program that can help senior go from place to place or at a small cost affordable for seniors with very limited income. Thank you.

Another resource to check with is the Area Agency on Aging. They should be able to direct you to the kind of help you need.

Hello
You can go to
Eldercare.gov
enter your zip code and choose Transportation from the drop-down menu. The next page asks for your zip code again, and then you will see a list of agencies that may have resources to help you with transportation.
Best of Luck

If you live near a large city, contact the transit company that provides bus service. Many have small bus, paratransit or point to point service for a nominal fee. In my area, I can get a small bus service for $1.00 for anyplace w/I a 10 mile radius of my house. That is a limitation if you want to go further though.

I don't know of any free transportation though unless it's through a senior center.
