Is visiting dementia patients when they are trying to adjust to a nursing facility good or bad?

I think popping in for 15 minutes to check on them is fine, staying half the day is not. It would also be better to stay away if there are behaviour problems during and after your visits. It's really and individual thing.

Chenry, it is recommended that when a love one first enters a nursing home, it is best to not visit for at least 2 weeks. That will give the love one time to adjust to their surroundings. Some adjust quickly, others it will take more time.
