Does the state of North Carolina have a required certification or license to be an "Elder Care Manager" or "Private Care Manager"?

My Long Term Care Insurance covers consultations with "Private Care Managers" or "Elder Care Managers". However, they require that the manager have a certificate or license. My research suggests that my state of residence, North Carolina does not require such a credential - and those managers I have consulted are unaware of such a requirement. Without the certification, they will not reimburse us. Any advice?

Mobleyw, sorry no one has been able to answer your question. I will move your question back to the front of the forum list to see if there are any caregivers from North Carolina who can answer your question. Please note this website is worldwide.
