I see the article How to Use a Life Insurance Policy to Pay for Long-Term Care. But it does not say where to go.

Can someone please help with this? Please tell me where I can go. In desperate need for help for my DAD.

I guess Dad has no assets other than Social Security? What was probably being discussed was that Medicaid requires that insurance policies be cashed in to pay for NH care before filing for Medicaid. The problem is the insurance has to have a cash in value. That won't be much. Someone said on this site that employer life insurance can't be touched only policies that you personally paid into. Call his insurance company and askfor a printout of the cash value of his policy. Medicaid allows for pre-funeral arrangements so you can use the cash in value for this. Medicaid allows for 2K in your bank account (this may very in per state). You need to go to your local Medicaid office and apply for Medicaid. Even if Dad has a 100k policy the cash in value probably will not cover Dads care.
