Does a "power of attorney" receive extra money from the estate for caregiving?

cwillie Jan 2018
From the estate? Whoever is executor or administrator of the estate must follow the instructions in the last will and testament, so unless the caregiver was left a bequest then no.

Only if a money amount is mentioned in the Power of Attorney legal form.

If a POA is trying to collect after the fact as a caregiver, sorry it is too late. The POA would have needed to have made an employment contract with the love one regarding the care and the hourly rate.
