Has anyone ever heard of Marinol/Dronabinol marijuana capsules to help calm dementia/Alzheimer's disease?

My mom was prescribed this today to help with appetite and anxiety because the xanex has taken her appetite away and causes her extreme diarrhea. Just wondered if anyone has had success with the Marinol?
