My husband is having daily panic attacks. Dr. put him on Risperdal, he seems worse. Any thoughts?

Is this doctor his PCP or a specialist following his dementia? Have you consulted a geriatric psychiatrist?

Reactions to drugs varies widely from person to person, and I think the variation is extreme in antipsychotic medications when the patient has dementia. Have you discontinued the resperidal? Has the doctor offered something else?
