Parent is 95. Frail and incontinent. Medicaid denied twice. Any advice?
Hired someone that took $5000 and that was back in August. State denies, no appeal filed. She needs to get back into nursing home. Has no more money which was exhausted since I paid for 3 months of care waiting for medicaid to be approved.
Please tell us more about the person who took $5K to help with Medicaid. If it was an attorney who didn't actually do anything, you can complain to the state bar association.
Why was Medicaid denied? Did it have to do with gifting assets? Who took $5,000 and didn't file an appeal? A lawyer? How did parent have $5,000 to pay this person?
