Can I receive medical help from the V.A.?

I was discharged from the 134th MP Feb, of 1957.

Boone,

I don't have a lot of info for you but here goes.

My Dad was drafted into the service in 1952. Stationed in Japan. Non combat.

When he started having serious health problems we checked out his VA benefits. We have a small VA clinic here in town. Not a VA hospital. We sat down in an office at the clinic to get Dad signed up. I do know at the time they wanted his discharge papers. He still had them.

We did this before things became so electronic.

Try to locate the nearest VA office.

If you have no idea you might try the local Chapter of Veterans of Foreign Wars...VFW. Even if you are not a Veteran of a Foreign War I am sure those guys will give you some idea where to start.
