My elderly relative has PADL after her name on legal documents. What does this mean?

I know this is an acronym for "Personal Activities of Daily Living" but why is it used in financial documents?

What country are you in?

Dunno, but I'd guess that the P and A in this context stand for Power and Attorney - no idea where the DL come into it, though. Have you asked her, or is that a silly question?
