Is there a program or agency that can help move my grandma from one state to another?

There are transports that will travel to another state but they are costly. From Central Florida to Atlanta it was going to cost $2000.

Snoopy, moving Grandmother is a "personal choice" so it might be difficult to find a program or agency willing to spend the money to help. Try calling your local Agency on Aging in your State and in the State where Grandmother currently lives.

If Grandmother is on Medicaid [which is different from Medicare] please note that her Medicaid will stop at the State line. She will need to apply for Medicaid in her new State. Each State has their own rules, regulations, and programs.

No, and if she is on Medicaid in one state, it will not transfer to another. Family is expected to take on any expenses to move an elder that the elder cannot pay. Medicare will stay with a patient, but Medicaid is a state run program that has different rules in every state. Non-profits and charitable organizations are not spending their money moving people from state to state at this time - they are dealing with emergencies due to weather and with individuals already situated needing care. There is always more need than money available at no cost. Sorry.
