How do you get diapers for elderly mom from INS and Medicare?

KellyJ17 Sep 2017
My mom was in a Hospice program at home..hopsital bed bound and incontient and the hospice company did supply them when she went under home health...we had to purchase them ourselves...I would suggest checking with her insurance and medicare..as to what is covered.

Medicare does not supply Depends or adult diapers. Most Medicare supplemental donor cover either. Medicaid does cover with a script or physician statement of incontinence. There are some area services on agencies who may be able to help.

Dear Jennie,

I'm not sure about the coverage for adult depends items from insurance or Medicare. Hopefully others can provide more insight. I would call Medicare and ask a representative directly.
