Does a feeding tube give you enough nutrition?

JoAnn29 Aug 2017
I think so. Is the person already on a feeding tube or is it being considered. If being considered, how old is the person and what are their health problems. My Mom has Dementia and is 89. A feeding tube at this point would be null and void. According to my daughter, RN, once you put someone on a feeding tube it's hard to get removed because then it considered starving someone. But if an elder person starts declining, not eating, sleeping all the time, etc then it maybe time to let them go.
