Are there good medical/surgical or other options for fecal incontinence?

My mom (80 yrs old) is healthy and active, but has a fecal incontinence issue. Are there any good options for her?

Adding to GardenArtist's thoughts ~~ Seniors often develop a lactose intolerance. Try Lactaid products. AND once the linings of the GI system are raw, add a probiotic product to Mom's routine. (DanActive, probiotic yogurt, Culturelle products for example). Cut down on soda, caffeine, and spicy foods for a while.

I've read that chocolate can be a contributing factor. I've also read that pelvic floor dysfunction can be a factor. A visit to an ob/gyn might be in order, although I'm not sure if there are other medical specialties such as gastroenterology that also might address this issue.
