The alzheimer's association has a helpline that you can call 24/7 to talk. They will also help you find local resources. They will listen to you cry and help you come up with a plan to cope. They talked me through one really bad day. Good luck!

Dear Laura,

I'm sorry to hear how you feel and about your mom's health. It is overwhelming and exhausting trying to care for an elderly parent and manage a household.

Please try and call the town office. There are resources in the community and through church. There is Adult Protective Services and Seniors Services in every town. If you are in distress don't hesitate to call the local distress centre as well. They will get you in touch with a social worker, family therapist or counsellor. There is help, please don't be afraid to make that phone call.

Was there an accident or a medical crisis that led to your moving to your mother's home?

Please call your local area agency on aging - county web search should bring it up
They can help do an assessment of mom and point you in the direction of resources

I'm sorry you're posting in the middle of the night in the states when folks may not be around to answer
