Does the VA provide in home hospice care?

I spent 4k last month on inadequate home health care. He is 97 and just approved for A&A. Am I understanding correctly. I can apply for a pension to help pay for Assist Living or to pay for adequate home health?

Nobody pays for 24/7 care, not even hospice, at home other than NYC through Medicaid. Does Dad qualify for Medicaid at home waiver to help with in home care? You can use VA aid and attendance money for health care. That is the "improved pension". The aid and attendance pension is income based and won't be near $4k. Any other military pension would be related to retiring from service or disability, and he'd already have it. You can check with your local VFW or other vet organizations to see if they have lists of caregiver agencies they recommend or volunteers to supplement.

I don't know about VA -- someone here will. But hospice care at home is covered by Medicare.
