The vast majority of caregivers do not get paid to help their elderly parents.
Some are able to get some amount of financial assistance from their parent. Parents pay from their retirement savings.
If you parents can qualify for Medicaid, you might be able to get some small amount of payment...but it will only be a few hours a week...not enough to really call much financial assistance.
