Can I get assistance for the cost of transport for my mother to and from her doctors?
My Mom is in the end stages of COPD. I need help bathing, changing her ostemy bags, cleaning and cooking. I need assistance for cost of transport for my mother to and from her doctors .
Is she on Medicaid? If so, they will provide some limited financial payments.
Other than that...does she have any long term care insurance?
Around here there is a volunteer program that will schedule transportation help. Also, many metro transit will have a program for the disabled to get free or very low cost medical transport. Call you local council on aging..they will know of any resources like that near you.
