I set up POA in SC by myself establishing my sister as POA prior to surgery. How can I now rescind that?

Cindy, it is always good to have a Power of Attorney on hand just in case. Or is this a situation where you no longer want your sister to be your POA?

If you want a new POA, all you need to do is go to an Attorney's office and have him/her draw up a new Power of Attorney. Once the document is ready, you and the person you are now using as your POA will need to go to the office to sign the document.

The attorney might recommend other legal document to be drawn up, such as a Will, Medical Directive, etc. as it is good to have these things on hand no matter how old you are.
