Has anyone had experience with long-term care policies? After 20 years of payments they denied a claim on Mom who is in a nursing home.

Both my parents had LTC policies since 1996 and in my estimation, paid this company approx. $80K. They denied claims on both of my parents. Dad, because hospice was called in. Mom, they denied saying we do not have her in a"skilled" nursing facility, meaning there is no RN on duty at night, only on call. I have not found one here in the Ft. Worth area that keeps an RN on duty at night. I believe this is just a ruse to keep from paying. Now Mom has run out of money and we have had to put her in a Medicaid program. She has Alzheimer's and no longer recognizes family, cannot walk and is incontinent, etc. While she IS being taken care of by Medicaid, I hate to see this company get away with this. If they did this to both my parents, they are doing it to others. Has anyone else experienced this and what did you do?
