Can a POA prevent a mentally challenged adult child from seeing a biological parent if they are putting the child in danger?

What does your ex and his ilk stand to gain from all of this? It might be worth getting guardianship of your son and possibly his wife but first talk to your son's wife's family and give them a heads up. Your son should have a social worker since he does collect SSI, if he does, talk to them. It might be worth talking to a lawyer because your son and his wife are vulnerable adults that sound like they both have some form of mental retardation.

In your other post you say your son functions at an 8yr old level - but here say he is mildly mentally challenged..? You also mention that getting ahold of your sons SSI is your exs motivation...
