Are there nursing homes I can visit and apply for my mother to live?

My mother lives with my brother in Rincon. The doctor says she has dementia/Alzheimer's and needs 24 hour supervision. Money is scarce. She has Medicare and reforma. I fly in January 24 to San Juan. Will be in Rincon January 25. Are there nursing homes I can visit and apply for her to live there? I have durable power of attorney. Or resources that can send someone to help with her daily bathing ?

Aridey, do you mean Rincon, Puerto Rico?   If yes, go to Google and type in "Rincon Puerto Rico nursing homes",  you should get some information that you can follow up upon.

I also found this regarding getting your Mom onto Medicaid.... https://www.medicaid.gov/medicaid/by-state/puerto-rico.html

Is she in Rincon, Georgia? I believe that GA has three Area Agency on Aging offices. Contact the one that serves Rincon.

You will need to find out if your mother is eligible for Medicaid. The AAA can advise you of how to start that process.

I am so sorry that your mother has this diagnosis. She will need 24 hour supervision.
