Can mom submit a claim to WI Medicaid for a CNA if she has a prescription from her doctor stating it is medically necessary?
She resides in a short staffed nursing home, is blind, needs total assistance and has vascular dementia. She is confined to wheel chair and has no way to let staff know she needs help or they ignore her.
No WI Medicaid pays the nursing home and will not add a CNA on top of that. See the Head Nurse about the care concerns. If the problem is not resolved, contact the state Ombudsman.
