How do I go about being my daughters POA?

My daughter cannot write or verbally speak, but she can move her lips.

As her mother, you have certain rights as next-of-kin to participate in medical decisions. On the other hand, if she is married, her husband has first rights. What is it you want to get done?

As I had mentioned above, check with the hospital Social Worker for his/her suggestions.

So sorry your daughter is on a ventilator plus having broken bones. What is her prognosis?

I would check with the hospital social worker, ask him/her what would be the best action in order for you to get Power of Attorney for your daughter. They might suggest Guardianship, to which you would need to go through an attorney to obtain same.

I see from your profile that your daughter lives in a hospital. What are her medical issues? Is she clear minded, can she indicate "yes" or "no"?
