What agency pays for you to care for your own grandparents?

Pay for caring for your own grandparents.

Bekah, if one of your grandparents served during wartime, has medical need for assistance, and is suffering financial hardship, then the grandparent and/or spouse may qualify for Aid and Attendance. They are then allowed to use that monthly stipend to pay for caregiving, including family members as long as it's not a spouse.

Vast majority of adult children do not get paid to take care of their spouse, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, children or friends... unless the person being cared for can pay from their own pockets.

The exception would be if your grandparents were to apply and be accepted by Medicaid. Each State has different programs, thus your State may or may not pay to take care of your grandparents. If they did, it would be minimum wage for a few hours. It is less expensive for Medicaid to have your grandparents placed in a continuing care facility that accepts Medicaid.
