Mom needs aid getting on her depends.

Do they make Depends that secure on the sides? I suppose that would be more of a diaper than pull up, but, if she is able to manage it unassisted, it might be worth a try. If it works, then I would make light of the name on the package.

I don't think the clip on pants assist would work in her case because the problem is getting her feet in the holes but your idea sent me down a path that led to a double sock assist, basically a wire frame for getting on pantyhose, that I think will work. She can hold it on her lap, put the Depends on it and set it on the floor. It will hold open the leg holes and she can get her feet in. At least I hope it will work that way. ;) I'm ordering it for her on Amazon tonight. I'll let you know how it works. Thanks again so very much.

Another thought, do you have access to any OT/PT?

I'm assuming her limitations are a physical inability and not a lack of understanding? The only thing I can find that may be more helpful is a "clip on pants assist", basically some sturdy clothespins attached to straps with a handle. How is she at getting her pants and socks on, or does she wear skirts? She may find it simpler to switch to tab style briefs, although they are bulkier and more expensive.
