Where to find help looking for a place for my mom?

I have been caring for my mother who is now 90 years old and Alzheimer's advanced stage. Recently due to a sharp pain I was diagnosed with a herniated disc and I can not do force. I'm looking for a place for her where her is well attended, it has been a difficult decision. She has not pension but she have medicare and medicaid. I live in Pembroke Pines and I don't know where to looking for. Some places are very expensive and do not accept these insurances. Could you advise me please? Thank you.

We used "A Home for Mom" and they helped find place in our price rang with beds. I went and interviewed the places then my favs came and spoke with my Aunt's and we talked about the people she met then I chose. It went as well as could be expected for both.

Start out by calling your local Area Agency on Aging and ask for a needs assessment. Your mom needs to medically qualify for a nursing home; dementia is not "enough" of a diagnosis. Hopefully, the AAA will also have some information about the NH and other facilities that you are looking at.
