My mother has Parkinson's and dementia and moved into my home. Monthly gross income of $2900.No other assets. Qualify for help?

She's been living in my home for 2.5 years. We currently have in-home care-givers for 3 hours daily for bath and other basics. Disease is progressing and the toll on my marriage is increasing. Her income won't cover most ALF's and I'm not in a position to offer financial help. My stepfather is Vietnam vet and still alive in NC as far as we know. We desperately need a life line. I work 42 hours weekly, my wife works six days.

No you are far over the income limit for Medicaid or Medicaid waiver. She sounds unlikely to be accepted at Assisted Living. About the only option is a Nursing Home. Start looking around.
