Where to find an in-home care provider for a woman (60+) with MS?

I will need an in home care provider for approximately 4 hours in the second week of March for a woman over 60 with MS.   There is little help needed, possibly toilet assistance and maybe a meal prepared/served. This is a one time assignment and we will require an invoice prior to services rendered to present to our client for payment.

I just realize my last few keystrokes are missing. I was suggesting care.com.

Ikr? This poster sounds like a listing on craigslist. If you are truly looking for one time only help for 4 hours, call your local Visiting Nurses Association. They have certified nurses aides who many times will do a short term assignment as a quick side job and extra $$. Good luck

Kathy, I wonder about that myself. When one clicks on CAREGIVER FORUMS there are other items that one can check out before writing a question or starting a discussion. Then there is SENIOR LIVING which has a ton of good articles.

Maybe some people are in too much of a hurry now a days to even bother looking around a website to see what it is all about. I know I scrolled all over the place before I even wrote my first question to see if I could find my answer.

Do people sometimes post phony things on this discussion board? From what Pam says above I suspect they do. Is it to find out whether their business is mentioned? Is it some type of setup? Why?

You might also have success through care. I was able to find someone through them.

jcarrion19, if you are looking for help for yourself or a loved one, contact all the local caregiving agencies to see if they have someone available.

This website doesn't employee caregivers to send out.... this website is information regarding elder caregiving only that goes worldwide :)

Sorry, don't believe you. Caregiving agencies don't look for help on sites like this.
