I am caring for my Mother (94) and we need assistance. Where to find help?

My father was a veteran in WW2 he recently passed - I have all the proof. I am single and I am carrying for my 94 year old mother. I am hurting physically and financially and I dont know where to help for assistance. She really needs to be in a care center, but the costs are incredibly great. I have been using my own money to care for her and I am seeing the end to my money coming soon. I desperately need help and need to know if she can go into a care center, or if I can get financial help to take care of my mother. PLEASE help - We live in the Denver, Colorado area - thank you !!

Check the site for Colorado State Veterans Nursing Homes. It's a group of places built to care for Veterans and their spouses. I'm posting this link, but if it gets deleted, you can google it yourself. It provides lots of info and the forms you need to apply for your mom. I'd call them for assistance.

If you need in home care, try the VA Aid and Attendance or Widow's Pension program. They do a five-year look back now, same as Medicaid.
If mom needs a nursing home, Medicaid is the only program that will cover the entire cost beyond her share (meaning her SS and pension).
