Get a transfer bench and a clamp on tub railing and grab bars. Be sure you have a handheld shower. freqflyer is correct, there is no financial assistance for bathroom remodels. Ask your MD to send an occupational therapist to the house to advise you on what to add to the home to make it safe. If the OT determines she cannot safely bathe alone, the MD can order a bath aide. Medicare will only cover the aide temporarily, usually 60 days.

Medicare does not pay for this. You could work out a financial payment with the plumbing company who buys and installs said item.
