Deonna, could you be more specific... are asking how to transport your Grandmother, or asking the best way to make the transfer from one State to another? Also, what are your Grandmother's medical issues besides being Alzheimer's/Dementia [as per your profile]?
You mentioned State nursing home, does that mean your Grandmother is on Medicaid? If yes, make sure before you move her that she can qualify in Iowa for the same benefits.... each State has their own rules, regulations, and benefits in regard to Medicaid. What was a benefit in Grandma's current State may or may not be a benefit in Iowa, and vise versa.
