Been billed, do I have to pay bill since I left agency?

Under Medicaid, but, paying a copayment for personal care. Not satisfy with service.  My mother been approved for medicaid for personal care service. We set her up with this home health agency and my mother was not satfisfied with the aides they sent her. We called the agency and informed them numerous times about the complaints my mother had with the aides. She has been matched with several aides and they did not work out. We have changed agency and so far she is pleased with the aide and I am happy to see that she is happy and getting out more. Even the people around her see that she is happier now. However, we have receive a bill from the agency she was not satisfied with. Is she obligated to pay this bill (copayment) under medicaid requirement?

Curious what were the complaints that your Mom had with the Aides from the first agency.

Read the contract you or your Mom had to sign. The contract I signed to get Caregivers for my Mom said they needed one week's notice of cancellation. Mom didn't like any of the Caregivers and refused to let anyone else in the house after the third day. The last gal was a fantastic match, but Mom didn't care.

Mom and Dad can still take care of themselves, and are still of clear mind so I can't over-ride my Mom's decision. I was just trying to help. What is sad is that I will be paying for a full week of service without anyone being at the house, but I knew that before hiring the agency.

There's an old saying, "If you eat the steak, ya' gotta' pay the bill." And that applies to "even if you didn't like it."

Pay the bill so you don't jeopardize mom's services.
