I'm her daughter; her 24/7 caregiver, since she was diagnosed with Dementia. She is very agile and active but recently she started wetting her pants. Yes, she's been to the doc, but haven't heard back yet. I assisted her in the bathroom in putting a pad on. We went out and on the drive home she said she was wet. Wasn't worried since I knew she had a pad on. She didn't! Like a magician she tossed it at some point...yet I was with her the whole time. So if this is not a U.T.I., then we are entering into a new level of Dementia. I need to get her to use some form of protection so we are not living in a "house of pee". I will try the full potty pants and put them OVER her regular under pants. Any more suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Plus, your mom will progress and may often have requests that are not feasible, are contrary to good judgment or that are actually costly or ill advised. You will have to make the decision on how it will be handled. I'd work with whatever makes her happy as often as possible, as long as it's not creating a lot of extra work, costs or harm.
