In need of someone to sit with my in-laws. Any suggestions?

Mom has slight dementia and father in law needs lifted on toilet sometimes.

I agree. Lifting someone takes knowledge and skill to do it properly. A friend of acquaintance might not have that skill. Dementia also requires a lot of patience as well as knowledge of how people with dementia act. It might be more expensive in the short run, but it'll be safer in the long run.

Your best bet is, if your live in the States, is to contact your local council on aging to get recommendations on where to look for that service. Click on https://www.agingcare.com/local/Area-Agency-on-Aging .... now find your State.... now click on your city/county.
