I have been diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus. Any advice?

I am 68 years old and am looking for a chiropractor interested in treating this. I have been scheduled for treatment for normal pressure hydrocephalus. Medical procedure is testing that concerns me. Looking for a chiropractor who has experience in treating this without surgery. I live in the northwestern pennsylvania area.

NPH is so treatable. The newest shunt is made so pressure can be tweaked without having to undergo surgery again. Is there some reason that you think spinal misalignment is causing the NPH? I am confused about your statement of medical procedure is testing. If the idea of surgery frightens you, you are definitely not alone. We're all frightened by surgery. The procedure, however, is fairly simple and has good results when followed with physical therapy. Let us know what you decide to do.

Go to your Chiropractor and bring all the imaging studies, especially the upper spine (cervical) area. IF you are out of alignment, get treated for that. IF you are not misaligned, look for another cause for your NPH, because there are many possibilities, including normal aging process.
